Brothers of Pi Kappa Phi’s Iota Upsilon Chapter at Florida Gulf Coast are hosting a hurricane relief drive to support the victims of Hurricane Michael. The chapter is collecting funds through a GoFundMe to be donated to the American Red Cross, in addition to collecting monetary donations they are collecting canned goods and other hurricane relief items to be donated such as canned vegetables, batteries, toiletries and other cleaning supplies.
Hurricane Michael made landfall as a high-end Category 4 storm on the Florida Panhandle Wednesday, causing extensive damage. On Thursday, the Carolinas and Georgia saw trees knocked down, hundreds of thousands without power and roads closed by standing water.
So far the brothers have been able to raise over $1,500 with an initial goal of $1,000, and have since raised their goal to$1,750. The fundraiser will go from October 12-17. Best of luck, gentlemen.
