Warden's Institute for

Common Loyalty

This August, Pi Kappa Phi will host a first-of-its-kind experience for associate member educators.

Pi Kappa Phi is dedicated to providing cutting-edge leadership development programs for our members. Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers provides an exceptional experience for our students serving in chapter leadership roles. Pi Kapp College for Emerging Leaders is an immersive, application-only program for sophomores and juniors interested in developing leadership skills that will continue to grow during their undergraduate years and prepare them for life after college.

Feedback from student members and campus professionals has revealed the need for increased leadership training in the area of associate membership education. To address this concern, it made sense to act where Pi Kappa Phi excels. The Fraternity has developed a new program to improve the associate member experience and further prepare our wardens to lead – the Institute for Common Loyalty. This targeted training is focused on developing associates into contributing members with programming that supports healthy belonging in our chapters. In August 2023, in a first-of-its-kind experience within the fraternal world, Pi Kappa Phi will host the Institute for Common Loyalty, designed exclusively for our student wardens.

Wardens from each chapter will be required to participate, meaning we will host approximately 160 wardens over two sessions. Each session will take place from Thursday through Sunday at our Alpha Psi Chapter at Indiana University. Wardens will learn the skills necessary to deliver a first-class associate member program for their respective chapters. Our goal is for every Pi Kapp associate member to experience a journey that creates a lifetime affinity for the organization and their chapter. This program, dedicated to fostering healthy relationships, will impact every warden and new member.
