Last year, Eta Tau became the first Greek organization at the University of Kentucky to participate and make DOFL an annual Brotherhood event. The event takes place throughout Lexington, with dozens of restaurants donating a minimum of 25 percent of all receipts for that day to AIDS Volunteers of Kentucky to provide testing and educational services as well as personal assistance for those affected by HIV and AIDS in over 70 counties in Central and Eastern Kentucky. This event, the major annual fundraiser for AVOL, brings in nearly $100,000 to provide those services. The University, following the leadership of Eta Tau in supporting such an important cause, is considering making this an annual event for all fraternities and sororities.
