This weekend our newly elected EC took a quick road trip from Milledgeville to Atlanta to attend Pi Kapp College.
Led by our former treasurer Al Del Villar, we are confident he will fulfill every expectation as Archon. We also have 4 other former EC members taking over new roles this year. The returning EC veterans are secretary Adam Chrzanowski, treasurer Andrew Fancher, Philanthropy Joseph Hernandez, and Chaplain Michael Andrews. The new faces on EC are Vice Archon Alex Barnes, Warden Andre Yousif, standards Jordan Host, Risk Luke Bohling, and myself Kyle Draffin as Historian.
Our EC’s collective goal is to not only maintain our good standing on campus, but also continue to improve our chapter. We were honored to receive the most improved in service and philanthropy award at the ceremony Saturday night.
Everyone enjoyed meeting the brothers from other schools and as a whole their shared knowledge will help us improve when we implement them into our chapter. Some of our biggest focuses this year will be to increase chapter ritual participation, have greater respect for our fraternity house, and to move forward while also complying with the newly structured rules.
Overall, the most meaningful part of this weekend was Corey Lee’s inspirational speech. We plan on sharing his story with the chapter and incorporating his mindset in everything we do. “If you can’t stand up stand out.” ODH brothers.
