For the men of the Epsilon Pi Chapter, the road to becoming a chartered chapter began in the fall 2014 semester when national staff members arrived on campus to begin recruiting the founding fathers.
On the Friday evening of the chartering weekend, the men of the Epsilon Pi Chapter were initiated into Pi Kappa Phi by the brothers of the Epsilon Gamma Chapter at Longwood College and the Zeta Epsilon Chapter at George Mason University.
Installing officers, Dudley Woody from the Xi Chapter at the Roanoke College and Tom Sullivan from the Delta Omega Chapter at Texas A&M University, assisted with the oral examination and installation of the new chapter. Brother Woody served the fraternity as the National President from 2012-2014 and brother Sullivan currently serves as the National Vice President for Pi Kappa Phi.
During his keynote at the chartering banquet on Saturday evening Woody challenged the men of Epsilon Pi to recruit quality and quantity men; that quality vs quantity is not the choice, that quality is always the starting point.
The national organization is excited to welcome the men of Epsilon Pi Chapter into our brotherhood. We would like to thank the students, advisors, and university staff who contributed to the chapter’s success.
