Irving is an alumnus from the Delta Delta Chapter (Truman State) and is a member of the Pi Alpha and Nu Phi Society. He has served as a Supreme Chapter committee chairman for multiple conventions, has served as the Regional Governor for the Kansas-Missouri Region since 2000, was the recipient of the Area Governor of the Year Award in 2002 and remains a donor to the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation.
