Blake joined Pi Kappa Phi as one of the refounding fathers of Kappa chapter at UNC-Chapel Hill, serving as Secretary and house manager. Determined to raise the bar for the Greek community at UNC, Blake established one of the university’s largest Greek-run nonprofit initiatives: Heels4Hope – a week-long series of events dedicated to raising money and awareness for Push America, the Arc of Orange County, UNC Lineberger and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospitals. The Heels4Hope’s 5K Challenge became an annual tradition raising over $60,000, earning him Chapel Hill’s “Hometown Hero” award at the end of his senior year. Upon graduation, Blake moved to Madrid, Spain, were he served as an American language and cultural ambassador to the Spanish Ministry of Education. Blake also accepted a position working as the executive office assistant and protocol liaison to the U.S. Ambassador. Since returning home, Blake has established his own clothing line – Blake Ashland & Co. Today, Blake works tirelessly to launch his own collection of bowties, neckties and pocket squares.
