When Jake boarded the plane for America he had many expectations of what was to come from his time in Colorado; however, he never imagined that he would one day call himself a brother of Pi Kappa Phi.
Jake was introduced to members of the Iota Kappa Chapter (Northern Colorado) early in his semester abroad and befriended a majority of the chapter during his time in Greeley. The chapter always joked about initiating Jake; however, the time came for him to pack his bags and return “down under.” Fast forward two years and Jake returned to America on “holiday.” A trip back to the United States quickly turned into a very special moment for Jake and the Iota Kappa Chapter. During his week-long return to Greeley to reconnect with the chapter, the brothers of Iota Kappa were able to share the gift of brotherhood with Jake, and officially alumni initiate him into Pi Kappa Phi on September 16, 2016.
Now, even though Jake is 10,104 miles away, he will always have a family back in Greeley. Welcome to Pi Kappa Phi Jake!”
