The purpose of the journey was for the ten leading members of the chapter to attend Pi Kapp College for Chapter Officers to further their leadership skills. The executive council was blessed to be able to enjoy a weekend full of knowledge, brotherhood, and fun. Each individual member sat through multiple sessions specific to their held position to further their knowledge of the position and the skills needed to perform dutifully and successfully. Brother Chaplin Jack Christensen had this to say about his experience, “I always thought I had a good idea about the meaning of the Ritual of Initiation, but it seems I actually had no idea until it was explained to me here at Pi Kapp College.”
The Alpha Omicron chapter was joined in Kansas City by many other chapters from around the Midwest. The multiple viewpoints and experiences from different chapters was undoubtedly one of the most useful fountains of wisdom. Hopefully the proud members of Alpha Omicron can bring their newfound knowledge and energy back to the other members and that a great year is had by all.
