Christy Harrison
Senior Director of Chapter Engagement
Christy is responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting chapter advisors, the council of advisors, and other chapter-level volunteers. She will work closely with the Alumni Engagement Team to support volunteer programs and volunteer databases, as well as overseeing each chapter receives the support they need. Christy will be your go-to person if you are interested in supporting your local chapter in a more hands-on way! She has spent the last few years focused on Youth Development and working with K-8th grade students both in Charlotte at Trinity Episcopal School and at the Gallatin Valley YMCA in Bozeman, Montana. She is excited to engage and meet Pi Kappa Phi alumni as well as assist the council of advisors to become great mentors to our undergraduate leaders.
While Christy’s formal degree is in Studio Art, you could consider her actual degree in all things Alpha Chi Omega. Within her chapter at good ol’ WCU, Christy first served as VP of New Member Education, then transitioned to Chapter President where she really found her passion for working with undergraduates and program development. In addition, she served as VP of Marketing and PR for GAMMA (Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol) and several other committees for Fraternity & Sorority Life.
When Christy is not in the office, you can find her either in the woods camping with her Goldendoodle Sawyer or cheering on the Carolina Panthers and exploring the city. Her happy place is being outside in any capacity, whether it’s hiking, paddle boarding, or reading in a hammock.
