2023 Thirty Under 30

Howard Chang

Howard Chang, Theta Kappa (Baylor), graduated with a bachelor of science degree in neuroscience from Baylor University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. While attending Georgetown, he served as a symposium editor for the Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy, was awarded an honor for performing over 125 hours of pro bono service and was named the commencement speaker of his class. Now, he works as an attorney at an international law firm, specializing in space law, aerospace finance, white-collar defense and appellate litigation. Aside from work, he serves as an assistant coach for the Georgetown University rugby team and gives back to those who cannot afford legal services through his pro bono work. His time as Theta Kappa Chapter’s philanthropy chairman helped prepare him to navigate the pro bono landscape and cultivated in him a spirit of helping others. As an undergraduate member, his brothers collectively helped each other find and pursue their passions, which has led him to use his legal degree for matters he is passionate about, including disability awareness.
