Gabriel Miller
After graduating with his bachelor’s degree, Gabriel Miller, Iota Xi (Texas-Dallas), pursued a master of healthcare administration to further build upon his skillset to make a difference as a leader in the healthcare system. His graduate program coincided with the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, and while he was able to support the effort to fight the virus, this experience served to further highlight foundational cracks in the healthcare system in his eyes, in addition to past negative experiences with the healthcare system. Upon completion of the didactic component of his program, he had an opportunity to complete a year-long administrative fellowship with Presbyterian Healthcare Services in New Mexico and was subsequently offered a role as the director of operations for their flagship hospital, the largest hospital in New Mexico. After attending Pi Kapp College for Emerging Leaders, Gabriel knew he wanted to make an impact and serve others, and he could do so through leadership. He cultivated his leadership skills during his undergraduate years and utilizes them now to serve the people of New Mexico, an underserved and unique state with a high poverty rate and challenging healthcare outcomes. In everything he does, he strives to remove barriers for others, whether they are students in his undergraduate chapter or his patients.
Gabriel and his fellow Thirty Under 30 recipients will be honored at the 2023 Pi Kapp Alumni Reunion. Interested in joining us? Click here to learn more.
