Striving to improve the health, safety, and economic prosperity of underserved communities in Oregon, William Miller, Alpha Zeta (Oregon State), serves the Native American Youth and Family Center as an Advocacy Manager. Once a state representative’s policy advisor, William now is a senior lobbyist at local, state, and federal levels for policies, programs, and systems changes. To secure CARES funding during COVID, he collaborated with Oregon’s Governor and Oregon’s Legislative Emergency Board to allocate resources for underserved and underrepresented populations. William gives back by serving as Vice President of the Ford Scholars Alumni Association and is on the Council of Advisors for the Alpha Zeta chapter. Additionally, he is a member of Project Turnkey which allocates non-congregate funding for those displaced by COVID and wildfires.
