Shane Pruitt

At the University of Oklahoma, Shane served as the re-founding archon of the chapter. After graduating from the university in 2011, he launched a career in higher education while also completing his doctorate degree in Higher Education by the age of 26. After taking over the Director of Student Engagement & Leadership position at Oglethorpe University, he became the youngest student affairs director in the state of Georgia. Since beginning his career he has published a vast array of research on improved college access for rural students, spoke alongside the biggest name in sexual assault prevention research, and lead a webinar alongside Harvard University to discuss leveraging technology on college campuses to engage the newest generation of students. In his role, he seeks to give hundreds of community service opportunities to university students while also teaching students their strengths and weaknesses through a refined leadership inventory and presentation called “Leadership is Wild.”
