Scott Swope
Zeta Chi – Albright
After graduating from Albright College in 2012, Scott transitioned into the workforce through a substitute teaching position in Reading School District. In Reading, Scott developed many methods and grew to understand more about students’ learning while gauging methods to build positive relationships that would help facilitate classroom learning. Scott later left Reading School District for a long-term substitute position at The William Penn Charter School in Philadelphia where he experienced a different style of education in private education. Following the end of the school year, Scott was hired full time by The Friends School of Hartford in Maryland. While also private, The Friends School of Hartford offered a new experience working with a variety of socio-economic diversity which aided him in starting to understand his own educational philosophies, techniques, and methods. While at Friends School of Hartford, Scott craved more leadership opportunities, leading to him taking a new position at Sanford School where he began to pursue additional roles. Scott has been named the Co-Chair of his department as is currently studying to obtain his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership through Penn State University.
