Nathan Rasnake
Epsilon Epsilon – University of Virginia – Wise
After graduating in 2014, Nathan went on to complete his master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University in 2017 before beginning a career in higher education. He began working for the Office of Admissions in 2015 before transitioning over to the Office of Student Life in 2016 where he has taken over as the director of several programs including Greek Life, Student Activities, and Student Leadership Development. Since taking over as Assistant Director of Student Leadership & Greek Life, Nathan has developed new ways to develop leadership in students on campus. He created a program called “Student Organization Success (SOS)”, a series of seminars that help students develop key skills to run an organization. In 2016, when Gatlinburg, Tennessee was devastated by forest fires, Nathan began a supply drive within the local community to assist victims of the fires. Within a week they had collected over 1,200 bottles of water and Gatorade and countless bags of clothes and toiletries. This service led him to receive the Humanitarian of the Year Award from the 7C’s Society, an award presented to a person or organization each year that devotes their time to helping others and going above and beyond with community service.
