Zidle named Mark E. Timmes Interfraternal Leader of the Year Award Recipient

Timothy Zidle, Iota Lambda (Quinnipiac), is the 2025 recipient of the Mark E. Timmes Interfraternal Leader of the Year Award. Elected as a sophomore, Zidle made an immediate impact as IFC president at Quinnipiac, leading his community through a season of remarkable change. Under his leadership, reports of misconduct in the IFC community fell by 200 percent, a direct reflection of his commitment to building safer, stronger chapters on his campus. Zidle introduced new collaborations with organizations such as the Student Government Association and the Multicultural Student Leadership council, creating connections that strengthened IFC’s presence on campus and improved engagement with the greater student body.
At the same time, Zidle guided the community to take a clear and public stance against interpersonal and domestic violence, something past leadership had shied away from. He launched initiatives like Pie-A-President and the Men Opposing Violence Everywhere program, which not only raised funds and awareness but opened the door for meaningful conversations around consent, mental health and healthy relationships.
Where IFC at Quinnipiac had once been isolated, Zidle’s approachable and welcoming style helped restore its reputation and rebuild its place within the campus community. Balancing his IFC presidency with his role as archon of Iota Lambda, the demands of a rigorous academic program and his work as a campus recreation supervisor, Zidle exemplifies what it means to be an interfraternal leader.
