PI KAPPA PHI CLOSES IOTA ZETA CHAPTER AT STEPHEN F. AUSTIN STATE UNIVERSTIY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Nacogdoches, Texas — Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity formally announces the closure of the Iota Zeta Chapter at Stephen F. Austin State University. The chapter made the difficult decision to surrender its charter. As a result of the chapter’s closure, all student members have been reclassified as conditional alumni members.

The Fraternity is thankful for our partnership with the university staff throughout this process and has partnered with Stephen F. Austin to receive a guaranteed return agreement for the chapter at a time that is appropriate for Pi Kappa Phi and the university.

Pi Kappa Phi seeks to create an uncommon and lifelong brotherhood that develops leaders and encourages service to others for the betterment of our communities. Dating back to the fraternity’s founding on December 10, 1904, at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, Pi Kappa Phi has exemplified a commitment to leadership, service before self, and building a better world. Today, on more than 150 campuses across America, Pi Kappa Phi continues to broaden its commitment to building exceptional leaders through uncommon opportunities. Iota Zeta Chapter was founded on April 30, 2011.
