Wade G. Birch Chapter Advisor of the Year
This award is named in honor of Brother Birch from the Beta Lambda Chapter at the University of Tampa, who served as an advisor for many years and believed in the impact an advisor could make on undergraduate chapters, members and the greater Fraternity.

Michael Scott, Upsilon (Illinois-Urbana-Champaign)
Michael Scott has made remarkable contributions to the chapter he advises, of which he is also an alumnus. In 2024, he coached the chapter’s vice archon to surpass recruitment expectations immediately following their re-chartering, laying a strong foundation for future recruitment success. He has been instrumental in the leasing process for the chapter’s house, helping maintain their relevance on campus, especially during recruitment, while providing a space where brotherhood can thrive. Scott played a critical role in organizing the chapter’s re-chartering weekend, ensuring the Ritual of Initiation was performed successfully and creating a meaningful experience for all initiates. He has led efforts to improve chapter communication with parents, fostering their engagement in their sons’ Pi Kappa Phi journey and boosting member retention.
