Mark E. Timmes Interfraternal Leader of the Year Award

This award is named in honor of Mark E. Timmes, Alpha Epsilon (Florida), who served as Pi Kappa Phi’s chief executive officer from 1994-2022. Each year, this award recognizes a student member of Pi Kappa Phi who has demonstrated the most outstanding leadership as a member of his Interfraternity Council.

2024 Recipient

Owen Lindsay, Eta Gamma (Colorado)

Owen Lindsay, Eta Gamma (Colorado), is the 2024 recipient of the Mark E. Timmes Interfraternal Leader of the Year Award. After a successful term as archon of his chapter, Lindsay made chapter history as the first member of Pi Kappa Phi to serve as the IFC on the Hill president in nearly 20 years. In this role, he oversaw more than 2,500 members across 21 fraternities, a unique role and a challenge that he was eager to take on. His term as chapter archon prepared him to oversee an executive board, confidently command a room and let the voices of individuals with different perspectives be heard, all skills that allowed him to bring men from different fraternities together to work toward common goals.  As IFC president, he dedicated his efforts to managing the safety of all council members, as well as ensuring all chapters were operating to their highest potential.
