Mark F. Jacobs, Delta Psi (Texas-Arlington), Named Mr. Pi Kappa Phi 2025
Mark F. Jacobs was initiated on December 10, 1979. During his undergraduate years, Jacobs served as archon of the Delta Psi Chapter (Texas-Arlington). Graduating in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in finance, Jacobs went on to obtain a master’s degree in business administration from Butler University. Jacobs has led a successful career in finance and is currently president of Houston Capital Corporation.
Jacobs resides in Houston, Texas, and is committed to serving others and underserved communities. He has held numerous committee and board positions with the Houston Sports Authority, was a member of the Greater Houston Partnership Regional Economic Development Committee, served on the City of Houston Complete Communities Advisory Board, was a trustee of the Houston Grand Opera and was a board member of the Montrose Center.
Outside of his community, at the University of Alabama, he formerly served as chairperson of the Student Life Leadership Council, board member of the Student Administration Leadership Council and chairman of the Parent Advisory Council.
Jacobs currently holds leadership positions in the Houston Rodeo, the Houston Area Urban League, the National Urban League, the Houston Golf Association & First Tee and the Greater Houston Port Bureau.
In addition to his professional accomplishments and volunteerism, Jacobs has remained firmly committed to Pi Kappa Phi. A member of Nu Phi, Jacobs is an inductee of the 1992 class. He is a three-time Area Governor of the Year, receiving the award in 1985, 1989 and 1991. Additionally, in 2000, Jacobs was awarded a Merit Citation by the 47th Supreme Chapter for exceptionally meritorious service to Pi Kappa Phi.
At the national level, Jacobs has served the greater Fraternity in many capacities. He was president of the Executive Committee for Pi Kappa Phi Properties. From 2000 to 2012, Jacobs served six consecutive terms on the National Council, holding the offices of chaplain, historian, secretary, treasurer, vice president and national president. Currently, Jacobs is a Pi Kappa Phi Foundation Trustee.

Jacobs is married to Shae Keefe Jacobs, a Kappa Delta from the University of South Florida and an attorney with Husch Blackwell. Their son, Landry, is an initiate of the Omicron Chapter (Alabama) residing in Indianapolis.
