Thomas Begley

Thomas Begley began his journey with Pi Kappa Phi on December 2, 1989, when he initiated into the Alpha Rho Chapter at West Virginia University. More than three decades later, the relationships he formed during his undergraduate experience remain among the most important in his life.  

Professionally, Begley serves as a senior wealth advisor with First United Bank & Trust, helping clients navigate financial planning and wealth management. 

On a local level, Begley has remained closely involved with the Alpha Rho Chapter, serving as its recruitment advisor since 2018.  

He currently serves on the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation Board of Trustees and contributes his expertise as chairman of the Alumni Engagement Committee. 

He is a proud member of the Nu Phi Society, a testament to his continued involvement in and support of the Fraternity. 

Begley lives in Morgantown, West Virginia, with his girlfriend, Julie, whose support has helped make his continued dedication to Pi Kappa Phi possible. Together, they share a blended family of five children. 

Begley continues to invest his time, talent and treasure in the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation because he credits much of what he values in his life to Pi Kappa Phi and the Alpha Rho Chapter. His closest friends are brothers with whom he has shared more than 30 years of friendship, support and growth, and he considers giving back to the Fraternity both an obligation and one of the most meaningful opportunities of his life.
