Stephen DePalma began his journey with Pi Kappa Phi on February 23, 1969, when he initiated into the Beta Alpha Chapter at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Now retired, DePalma previously served as CEO of Schoor DePalma Inc., where he led the firm through years of growth and success in the engineering and consulting industry.
DePalma served on the National Council for nearly a decade, beginning as National Treasurer (1985–87), then as National Vice President (1987–89) and ultimately as National President from 1991–92. He later brought his leadership to the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation Board of Trustees, serving two terms, first from 2000–05 and his current term, which began in 2020.
A proud member of the Nu Phi Society, DePalma was awarded the Merit Citation in 1994 and was named Mr. Pi Kappa Phi in 2002, the Fraternity’s highest and most prestigious honor.
DePalma continues to give his time, talent and treasure to the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation because he wants to provide leadership training and life-skills development opportunities to future generations of Pi Kappa Phi men.
