Early in his career, Woody served as a law clerk for the Honorable Ted Dalton in the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. He later spent 25 years with Woods Rogers PLC, where he rose to the position of partner. Now retired, Woody has a long history of legal excellence and service.

Within Pi Kappa Phi, Woody has held nearly every major leadership role at the national level. He served as National Chancellor from 1999 to 2000 and again from 2002-08, followed by terms as National Treasurer from 2008-10, Vice President from 2010-12 and ultimately as National President from 2012-14. His leadership has also extended to The Ability Experience, where he served on the Board of Directors as secretary from 1992-95, vice president from 1996-97 and president from 1997-98. On a local level, Woody has continued to give back to his chapter, serving as philanthropy chairman advisor and as president of the Xi Alumni Chapter.

Woody is a proud member of the Nu Phi Society, and was honored as Mr. Pi Kappa Phi in 2023, the Fraternity’s highest and most prestigious recognition.

He currently serves as treasurer on the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation Board of Trustees and contributes his expertise to the Fraternity as a member of the Individual and Chapter Conduct Committee.
