Charles “Chuck” Barnard began his journey with Pi Kappa Phi on April 29, 1972, when he initiated into the Delta Delta Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi at Truman State University as a founding father. Starting the chapter with a close group of friends remains one of the most meaningful experiences of his life. He later served the national organization as a field secretary from 1972-75, supporting chapters across the country under then-Executive Director Durward Owen. Now retired, Barnard previously served as senior vice president and account director at JLL in Chicago, where he led major corporate real estate accounts.

Within Pi Kappa Phi, Barnard has served as secretary (2016–18) and as vice president (2000–08) and president (2008–12) of the Pi Kappa Phi Properties Board of Directors. Locally, he continues to support his chapter, serving as the Delta Delta Chapter advisor and events coordinator for the Phoenix Area Alumni Association.

Barnard is a proud member of the Nu Phi Society and received the Merit Citation in 2015 for his exceptional service to the Fraternity.

Barnard continues to give his time, talent and treasure to the Pi Kappa Phi Foundation because Pi Kappa Phi has given him more than he will ever be able to repay.
