Lieutenant Gen. Leonard F. Anderson IV, Alpha Phi (Illinois Tech), was initiated into Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity on August 17, 1990. Upon graduating from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1993, he was commissioned into the United States Marine Corps. He quickly climbed the ranks, earning his wings as a naval aviator in 1995. His career has been defined by excellence and leadership, holding roles such as Commanding General of the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, Deputy Commanding General of Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command and Deputy Commander of Joint Task Force-ARES. In deployments aboard the USS Enterprise and USS Truman, he played a role in Operations Southern Watch, Desert Fox and Deliberate Forge. In 2024, his leadership reached new heights when he was promoted to Lieutenant General and assumed duties as Commander. He took command of both Marine Forces Reserve and Marine Forces South and continued his many years of service to the Marine Corps and our nation.
