Alpha Psi (Indiana)

David Goodnow, Alpha Psi (Indiana), was initiated into Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity on August 14, 1994. After graduating from high school, he began his broadcasting career in 1959 on WAKO-FM before moving to WAOV radio station in 1962. Then, Goodnow moved from radio to television and in 1982, he began working as one of the original anchors on CNN Headline News, where he remained for 18 years before retiring in 2000. In Goodnow’s career, he notably played an essential role in starting Indiana’s first educational television station, now PBS. Outside of Journalism, he was an engaged member of the Masonic fraternity and DeMolay International Youth Leadership Association. Goodnow’s involvement with Pi Kappa Phi came through his good friend and past National President, the late Dr. Phillip Summers, Alpha Psi (Indiana). Summers invited him to become an alumni initiate of the Alpha Psi Chapter at Indiana University.
