Nick Palance
Singer/Entertainer
Beta Alpha (NJIT)
Nick Palance, Beta Alpha (NJIT), was initiated into Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity on August 4, 2012, as the model initiate at the 53rd Supreme Chapter in Washington, D.C. At six years old, Palance was intrigued by the numerous instruments throughout his home, which his family did not use. He was particularly drawn to an unused Hammond organ and taught himself to play. By age nine, he’d become a talented guitarist and explored various musical styles. At just 14 years old, he wrote songs and performed at clubs on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. At 17, and on the recommendation of his band members over the years, he gave thought to singing professionally. After hearing only a few notes, his voice teacher knew that Palance had something special and encouraged him to apply for the Southern California Conservatory of Music’s vocal scholarship, which he won. After graduating with a degree in voice and a minor in guitar, his career began.
With an exciting start, Palance starred in the original off-Broadway tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Later, he joined the Canadian Tenors before settling into his career as a solo recording artist. His debut album, Saving Grace, was released in 2010, spanning numerous genres and consisting of seven languages throughout. Currently, he continues to perform across the United States and Canada.
