Congratulations to Iota Beta (Texas - San Antonio) faculty advisor, Carlos Garcia & his wife Lauren on their recent wedding nuptials. Carlos is an alumni initiate #25 of Iota Beta chapter and founding father. Mr. & Mrs. Garcia were wed on June 21 in San Antonio, TX.
The crew at Concord Carpenter wanted to part of something bigger than ourselves so we volunteered to instruct the Build America Team on tool usage and tool safety. This is an intensive 3-day program that will teach these 21 young men how to safely use, and operate power tools, and how to build some of the projects they will be encountering.
This past weekend, Jeff Perlman, Gamma Delta (Memphis), and Jeff Watson, Eta Gamma (Colorado) joined the 2014 Journey of Hope North route, Bruce Rogers and riders from KRG Capital for a Colorado Ride Along. Perlman and Watson, who are both Pi Alphas, committed themselves to raising over $500 each for Push America for the three day ride!
Howard H. Baker, Alpha Sigma (Tennessee), passed to the Chapter Eternal on June 26, 2014. Brother Baker was a Nu Phi member and received the Pi Kappa Phi Hall of Fame award on August 18, 1979.
