Journey of Hope is a cross-country bike trek, where members of Pi Kappa Phi learn from those with disabilities. Grand Island makes the halfway point of their California to D.C. trip.

Purdue student Greg Bandy said, “Understand the empathy, that everyone has abilities. We can do amazing things regardless of the limitations people put on us.”
The team was welcomed by a large crowd Monday, including Grand Island Mayor Jeremy Jensen. He said with so much negativity in the world, it’s important to celebrate when people from different backgrounds come together in a positive way.
