Eta Theta Chapter returns to San Francisco

The original chapter was closed in January of 1997 after a ban on Greek life was placed on the campus. But in August of 2012, Pi Kappa Phi decided to restart its chapter at USF.

Brothers Tracy D. Maddux, Zeta Theta (Texas – Austin), national vice president, and Daniel J. Bosshart, Gamma (Berkeley), served as the installing officers for the weekend. The 38 refounding fathers were initiated by the men of Epsilon Nu (Sacramento State), Theta Omicron (Nevada Ð Reno), Iota Sigma (San Jose State) and Gamma (Berkeley).

Representing the national fraternity at the chapter’s chartering banquet were Director of Chapter Development Andrew Richards, Iota Alpha (Sacred Heart), and Coordinator of Expansion Patrick Smith, Gamma Tau (North Texas). Chapter Advisor Larry Wong, Eta Theta (San Francisco), was in attendance; as well as the Chapter Advisor for the Iota Sigma Chapter, Wayne Unger, Theta Xi (Arizona State).
