Announcing Pi Kappa Phi’s New Director of Prevention Education

Brooke succeeds Dr. Lori Hart, who transitioned roles in October to become Pi Kappa Phi’s Senior Director of Strategic Prevention Initiatives. Lori’s areas of responsibility include identifying the next evolution of the Pi Kappa Phi’s prevention education strategy, serving as an advisor to our senior leadership team, and supporting the fraternity’s sexual misconduct response protocol.

In her new role, Brooke will be responsible for providing students and volunteers with advice and guidance to safely and successfully plan events with alcohol, as well as managing the fraternity’s menu of prevention-focused programs and initiatives. Brooke will also work with Assistant Director of Education Dylan McKenzie to support chapters in creating and implementing associate member education programs that maintain the dignity and respect of all members.

Brooke graduated from Purdue University — where she joined Phi Mu Fraternity — in 2008 with a B.S. in Consumer Sciences. She received her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from NC State in 2011 and has worked in fraternity/sorority life at VCU, the University of Louisville, and the University of Virginia. Most recently, Brooke served as the Compliance Coordinator for Risk Management and Housing for Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity.

As a volunteer, Brooke has served as a Ladder of Risk and ASTP facilitator, as well as a past Pi Kapp College for Emerging Leaders faculty member. In addition to her experience with Pi Kappa Phi, Brooke has facilitated the NIC’s Futures Quest and IMPACT program, as well as Phi Mu Delta’s Sapphire Leadership Experience. Brooke currently serves on Phi Mu’s Harm Reduction and Prevention Committee.

We are excited for Brooke to join the team and work with each of you, day-to-day, to continue building a safer and healthier Pi Kappa Phi.

Brooke will work remotely from Richmond, where she lives with her husband Zach, an initiate of the Omega Chapter (Purdue).

Please join us in welcoming Brooke to the Pi Kappa Phi team!
