In order to better prepare our volunteers to support our chapters, Pi Kappa Phi hosts various training opportunities for our volunteer network.
All regional governors and chapter advisors must go through Volunteer Training. The training sessions, which are generally held in the winter and summer of each year, train newly appointed regional governors and chapters advisors on the fraternity's policies, programs and resources. Volunteers also learn mentoring and advising skills to help chapter address their most common challenges.
Volunteer facilitators for Pi Kappa Phi's Ladder of Risk and ASTP risk management education programs also receive specialized training. Sessions for new facilitators are held once a year for Ladder of Risk and every other year for ASTP.
