Jabe V. Hardee II Memorial Scholarship

Benefiting the Delta Zeta Chapter at Appalachian State University

In April of 1986, Jabe V. Hardee II from Wilmington, NC joined the Delta Zeta (Appalachian State) Chapter as its 336th initiate. A compassionate person who took time to notice the importance of enjoying life as an adventure, Hardee made many friends and drew people to him with his easy going personality, contagious laughter, and love of life. He was also an Eagle Scout and loved spending time and doing things outdoors; he had the best of both worlds—the beach and the mountains—at his ready disposal.

Sadly, in 1987, Hardee entered Chapter Eternal at the age of 19 and is today remembered by the many good friends and people he influenced for the better within Pi Kappa Phi.

The Jabe V. Hardee II Memorial Scholarship recognizes one undergraduate member of the Delta Zeta (Appalachian State) Chapter each spring with a $1,000 grant.
